Notice is hereby given that the Town of Shipshewana, Indiana, by and through its Town Council, will receive sealed bids for the sale of a 2003 Sterling Rescue fire apparatus with 33,000 miles and air conditioning. The vehicle is being sold “as is.”
Sealed bids sent by registered mail and marked “Fire Apparatus Bid” on the envelope will be received at the Town Hall, 345 N. Morton St., P.O. Box 486, Shipshewana, IN until 6:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, April 13, 2023 (“Deadline”). Bids will also be received by hand delivery at the beginning of the regular meeting of the Town Council in the Town Hall by the Deadline. Bids received after the Deadline will be returned unopened unless an unfair competitive advantage would not result. The minimum bid is set at $76,500.00.

Prospective bidders can arrange for an inspection during regular business hours.
No bids may be withdrawn after the Deadline without the consent of the Town for a period of sixty (60) days. The Town accepts no liability for the costs incurred in preparing the bids or otherwise responding to this Notice. The Town may reject any and all bids received.
