COUNCIL MEMBERS ABSENT: Joshua A. Weimer, C. Arlene Lazzaro, Elmer J. Mast, Zachary J. Stoltzfus, Tad T. Hite
STAFF PRESENT: Robert W. Shanahan, Todd Thurber, Rodger Owsley, Ruth Ann Downey.
Town Manager, R. Shanahan reported that the purpose of this meeting is to receive bids for the SR 5 Sidewalk Improvements (Farver Street to Blue Gate Garden Inn). Three bids have been received, these bids will be opened and taken under advisement until the October 8, 2020 Council meeting.
Clerk-Treasurer, R. Downey opened the bids and T. Thurber of DLZ read the total bid as follows:
Premium Concrete Services, Inc. of Elkhart, IN $307,550.00
R. Yoder Construction of Nappanee, IN $276,927.00
API Construction Corp., of Laotto, IN $291,754.00
R. Shanahan thanked everyone for coming, noting that all quotes have come in under the Engineer’s Estimate. The bids are being taken under advisement to allow for compliance review, with tentative award of the bid to be made at the October 8, 2020 6 p.m. regular Town Council meeting.
