The Town of Shipshewana is excited to announce the opening of its new dog park, proudly named Wana Bark Park; a clever and fitting title submitted by Lincoln Miller of Shipshewana-Scott Elementary. Lincoln was the winner of the town’s recent naming contest, and his creative entry was selected from a number of thoughtful submissions.
The new dog park is located just east of the ball fields at the Town Park and features a gated entrance along with separate fenced-in areas for small and large dogs, ensuring a safe and enjoyable space for all four-legged friends.
The Town Council expressed appreciation to all who participated in the contest and had the pleasure of presenting Lincoln with an award during the council meeting on Thursday evening, May 22, 2025.
